My Story

I am running the Yorkshire Marathon on 9 October 2016 (my birthday weekend!) as well as Leeds Half Marathon on 8 May 2016.

Many of you will have met, or be aware of, my lovely brother, Toby, who has recently moved to Brighton. Both runs I will be fundraising to raise as much as I possibly can for the Aspire Club at the Romsey Mill, a club that really helped and supported Toby for many years. The club supports young people in Cambridge with Autism aged 9-18 years old, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to socialise. When Toby was at his worst Aspire was one of the few places he felt safe enough to go, not only providing Toby with support, the club provided my parents with a few hours of respite.

For more information on their excellent and invaluable work please click the following link to their website: http://www.romseymill.org/aspire/

Any pennies you can spare would be gratefully appreciated and will help the fact that I've signed myself up to celebrate turning 24 by running 26.2 miles! It costs around a £100,000 a year to run the groups, helping over 80 children and young adults, run by paid youth workers and an army of volunteers they really do deserve every penny.

Thank you in advance!
